While no where near as busy as Mister Radovich, Sam McEwin will be out and and about this weekend with gigs at the Lounge’s techno night Slap as well as Sweat at Alia.

Sam will kick off his weekend on Friday night playing the closing set at the weekly techno gathering, Slap at the Lounge. This week the Slap crew welcome the up and coming live outfit Continuum along side residents Ant J Steep, Nadine and Danni B. “CONTINUUM have made quite a name for themselves over the last year, having releases on numerous record labels like BEEF and Disoma. On Saturday night Sam will expose his passion for disco-fied grooves at what is emerging as one of the hottest new nightspots in melbourne, Sweat at Alia. Going from strength to strength Sweat is fast becoming the place to be seen for music loving peeps looking for something a little bit different. Sam will play from 2am alongside Fromage Disco and residents Kiti &  Agent 86.

The Melbourne Techno Colective’s Matt Radovich is going to be a busy boy this weekend with non-stop gigs from Thursday through to Sunday at events including Tight at the Workshop, Pretty Simple at Ffour, Easy at Word, supporting The Toxic Avenger at Revolver and even managing to sneak in slots at the Lounge, Bimbos and Miss Libertine.

Matt’s weekend will kick off with with his residency Bimbo’s on Thursday night with a laid back set from 7-10pm before moving onto the Workshop’s fortnightly hip hop and funk night Tight from 10.30 till close.

On Friday Matt’s night starts at Miss Libertines with a warm up set from 6-9pm, before he turns his attention to the Lounge where he kicks off their night downstairs.

After the Lounge Matt will get some much needed rest before he’s again off to Ffour on Saturday night where he will support Christian Vance in his farewell performance at Pretty Simple. This will be Christian’s last performance in Melbourne before he takes off overseas to do the sort of things that burgeoning techno artists do overseas. Matt will Play the 9-11pm slot at Ffour and then sneak over to Word for their regular Saturday event Easy where he will play from 12-2am.

Far from over though Matt’s weekend will end in the same fashion that many peoples weekends end… At Revolver! On Sunday night Matt Radovich along with a whole host of DJ’s including Richie Rich, Simon Coyle, Gavin Keitel and a heap of others, will support french electro house producer The Toxic Avenger.
