Latest Pinksilver release on sale now.

July 7, 2010

Melbourne based Pinksilver have released their latest banger on their Pinksilver Limited label this week, with a distinctive and darkly moving two tracker from Italian duo Renato Figoli & Alessio Mereu.

Continuing Pinksilver’s love affair with some of Italy’s most talented producers, the seventh release on Pinksilver Digital features a heavyweight production combination from the beautiful island of Sardinia.

Joining forces are Renato Figoli & Alessio Mereu with a devastating two-track EP that’s as powerful as it is proficient.

Renato has been producing & releasing music since 2003 on established labels such as LoFi Stereo, Ware, Gumption Records, Trapez & Claque Music, in addition to starting his own label TantoQuanto in 2008.

Alessio has began producing music in 2006 and since then he has released on a cavalcade of all-star labels such as Cocoon, CMYK, Tuning Spork, Contexterrior, Analytic Trail, Toys For Boys & True Type Tracks, also having founded his own labels in Renovatio Records in 2008 & T-Bet in 2009.

Their release on Pinksilver Digital is a heavy-laden bass & groove exercise in dancefloor dynamics. The title track ‘Diagonal’ features the signature keys of Renato, tried and tested on his many live sets throughout Europe including Panoramabar & Cocoon’s “Green & Blue” festival in front of more than 10,000 party goers.

‘Geku’ is a sinister journey into the dark abyss, building and weaving as it steams towards its destination – peak-time dancefloors across the globe. Its characterised by heavy & crisp basslines, delicate keys and a captivating rhythm that carries the journey through to the end.

Tracklisting:

01 – Renato Figoli & Alessio Mereu – Diagonal

02 – Renato Figoli & Alessio Mereu – Geku

Haul 10: Hacienda

June 22, 2010

Haul Music Hacienda EP

Melbourne based Haul Music’s latest outing hit the digital shelves earlier this month. The housey Hacienda Ep – care of Andy Hart & Mike Buhl is available now from Beatport.

Melbourne’s underground house music scene has produced some rather pretty boys over the years, but only rarely has it produced such beautiful music. In this latest release we bring you both! Put your hands together, prick up your ears, and be still your beating hearts as we welcome the incredible talents of Mike Buhl and Andy Hart, with their debut collaboration, Hacienda. Each of these respective young slashies (that’s deejay-slash-producer for those who didn’t know) has already attracted solid support for their solo work over the last twelve months, but this combined outing is truly something special.

Hacienda is old school house with a modern approach to production that is both smooth AND sharp. Think about that! Equally exciting for us at Haul Music is the addition of Lewie Day to our growing list of remixers-extraordinaire. Lewie is arguably one of the hottest names in house music right now, with his music sitting comfortably at the front of Steve Bug’s crate, amongst many others. And, for the first time we have extended our long, loving arms all the way across to Berlin, to instigate a global group hug with Kai Preussner, aka CityCobra. An old mate of Mike Buhl has become a new mate of ours, and it feels goooooood. Oh, and Craig McWhinney knocked out a remix too, just in case you thought we’d forgotten about the techno thing. Never!
