Craig McWhinney launches record label

The Melbourne Techno Collective’s Craig McWhinney launched his Haul Music label last week with label mates and co-owners Mike Callander and Christian Vance.
The first release Too Long On Venus by Christian Vance is typical of the direction Craig and co are looking to take the label, with a heady mix of dark synths and layered percussion giving rise to a unique and original, distinctly Melbourne sound.
The EP features a stunning re-working from Craig McWhinney himself and an equally impressive remix care of Mike Callander.
The trio plan a steady stream of releases to follow in 2009 and with releases of this quality, Haul Music will no doubt be a label to watch over the coming years.
