Pinksilver’s free net label offshoot Pinksilver Net yesterday announced the release of Pinksilver Net 017 courtesy of loacally based artist, Lorenzo. Lerenzo’s EP entitled Zyon Atmosphere contains three dark, brooding techno numbers which are all deeply chilling affairs combining eerie percussion with haunting stabs and clever minimal programming.

The EP can be downloaded for free from www.pinksilver.net.

For anyone looking to re-live the recent Deetron show at Q Bar, this recent mix recorded live at Munich’s Harry Klein club should do the trick very nicely. The one and a half hour mix includes most of the bombs from his Melbourne show and was recorded on 3 decks and 2 CDjs. Enjoy!

Cocoon label boss and techno legend Sven Vath is set to release the latest compilation inspired by the labels residency at Ibiza super club Amnesia. Sven Vath in the Mix: The Sound of the Eleventh Season – like previous editions – will feature two CDs, labeled Night and Day and will include tracks by artists DJ Koze, Basti Grub, Speedy J, Solomun, Martin Buttrich and Maetrik among many others.

Sven Vath in the Mix: The Sound of the Eleventh Season will be released on November 19th, 2010.

Melbourne icon Revolver nightclub will launch their new Friday night brand on October 15th in the front room of the Prahran nightspot.

Going for a deep house flavour as the them for the night, the club has recruited DJs Mike Callander, Lewie Day, Jamie Stevens, Katie Drover, Nick Jones and Luke Bowditch to hold down the main residency, with Callander making special mention of the Thai cuisine available at at Colonel Tan’s until 11pm.

“We’ve got a pretty solid roster and all the DJs will play at least 2 hours – often longer” Callander said. “It’s $6 before midnight on a guestlist and I’m encouraging people to get down nice and early and enjoy the amazing food at Colonal Tan’s before hand, something just a little nicer for the more mature cats!”
