Congratulations to Dan Greco who was the winner of our Tastes Like Techno competition and earned himself a double pass to our show on Friday night, we hope you had a great time. Dan’s response was so good we thought we would post it here.

Dan’s delectable ‘Souffle De Technoir’..serves 4

2 cups TR 909 kick drum
2 cups TR snare (can be replaced with hand claps if desired)
500ml of quirky acid bass
200ml ambient atmos
Pinch of grated Joel Mull releases (or diced Adam Beyer, whichever Swede is available)
1 generous handful of minimal Hawtin (fresh if possible)

Simmer the drums into a rhythm, lightly stir in acid bass (mix should start to thicken), remove from the heat and sprinkle in the Hawtin. Around now pour in half the atmos, with a pinch of Joel Mull – taste should be vibrant, not too heavy, if so add more atmos.If you find the souffle tastes too rich/kind of cheesy, you can resort to a few drops of a German God; Heiko or Rother for example.

Set oven to 140 bpm and leave for 7-10 min….. Wallah Souffle De Technoir, enjoy!!
